The Football League Challenge
The game focuses on the following issues:
- How strategy is about managing organizations continually over time
- The role of 'resources' in strategy and performance ... including intangibles
- Anticipating the long-term consequences of decisions
- The value of a clear visual 'architecture' of how a business system works and performs
- How beating competitors means building and sustaining a stronger system – over time
Since these issues are wide-spread, all participants will see that most relate to their own organizations, so debrief discussions can highlight some of those similarities and participants can discuss how they manage those issues in practice
