Dynamics of Strategy - Journal Article

Abstract - In seeking means to build and sustain competitive advantage, managers find that established strategy analysis techniques offer little help. This paper explains some fundamental limits to these traditional approaches for developing strategy, and lays out some initial frameworks of a fact-based method that can help managers understand and take control of the time-path of their firm's performance.

This 18 page article, first published in Business Strategy Review (1999, Volume 10, Number 3), provides a fully referenced explanation of the fundamentals underlying the Dynamics of Strategy approach.
