The presentation explains management’s need for tools to help them assess and
manage performance through time. It shows how their organisations (whether
commercial firms or non-profit) consist of resources that must be built and
sustained, and that must work together in order to develop and perform.
Frameworks are offered for dealing with competition, illustrated with a case in
the ski-holiday market. The importance of ‘soft’ factors, like morale and
customer quality is explained, and illustrated with a small case of a software
firm.
